Advisory: Wind Advisory until 06:00PM Wednesday

 

* WHAT…West winds 15 to 25 mph expected, with a few gusts around 45 to 50 mph possible.

* WHERE…Portions of the foothills and upper French Broad River valley in western North Carolina.

* WHEN…From 6 AM to 6 PM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The strongest surge of winds will occur from sunrise to early afternoon on Wednesday, mainly across the area along and immediately east of the Blue Ridge Escarpment. The winds are expected to subside gradually on Wednesday afternoon.
