FOREST CITY — The Rutherford County Schools (RCS) Board of Education members with exception of member Brandi Nanney voted to keep its mask mandate despite several objections by public speakers. When some in the audience became disorderly at the Tuesday evening meeting, they were escorted out of the auditorium.
The Board deemed it was in the best interest of the students to mandate masks in hopes to slow the spread of COVID-19, and to reduce the number of students in quarantine. You may view the recorded meeting in the link below.
