Lynn Moore, age 64, of Ellenboro, NC died Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Oak Grove Health Care.

Lynn was born May 14, 1955 in Rutherford County to the late Joe Morrow and Sylvia Holland. She worked for Burlington Industries as a clerk and as a graphic designer for Quality Home Medical Services in Spartanburg. Lynn was gifted at painting and drawing and blessed many with her beautiful artwork. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Greg Morrow.

Those left to treasure her memory include her husband of thirty-four years, Donald Moore; brother, Joey Morrow of Alexander Mills and family friends, Troy and Cathy Stanley, Michelle Francis, Nancy Jones, Carol Rogers and Ruth Pye.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Harrelson Funeral Home.

Taffy Taylor, of Spindale, died Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Fair Haven of Forest City. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Buck and Nell Penson Goforth. Taffy was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, was a retired beautician and worked at Carver Center with the Head Start program for 13 years.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Don Taylor; sons Mark Taylor and wife Cindy and Matt Taylor and wife Mandy; grandchildren, Noah Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Sarah Taylor and Emma Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 12 o’clock Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Crowe’s Chapel with Rev. Bob Philbeck and Rev. Matt Mills officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Crowe’s Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.

Miss Olivia Jordan Hallman, 16, of Bostic, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

She was the daughter of Josh and Deana Hallman of Bostic.????Olivia was a rising senior at East Rutherford High School, where she was active in I-Genius, the Beta Club, the arts program, and was a recipient of New Century Scholars. She was a member of The Barn, volunteered at the Washburn Outreach Center, and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity with her dad.????Olivia was planning on studying psychiatry at Wake Forest University. She was a member of Nana’s sewing club, and always cared for others before herself. She is survived by many family and friends who dearly loved her.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Nikki Hallman of South Carolina; her paternal grandparents, Harry and Donna Hallman of Bostic; her aunt and uncle, Cassy and Jordan Hallman; cousins, Darren, Logan, and Finn Hallman; her uncle and aunt, Chip & Michelle Hoppes; her cousins, Zech and Bash; and her aunt Lorie Givens. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sarah Ann Murray.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, June 30, 2019 on the creek bank of The Barn, 590 US 74 Business, Bostic. The Rev. Sam Henderson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, due to her love of animals, the family request memorials be made to the Heart of The Foothills Animal Rescue, 1366 US 221 North Hwy, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.

Mary Frances Rome Bradshaw, age 85, of Ellenboro, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Oakland Living Center.

Mary was born January 16, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late Anderson Rome and Anna Sue Mashburn Rome. She was a dedicated homemaker and especially enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and sewing. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and faithfully attended Tri-City Baptist Church while she was in good health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, Louie Bradshaw; three sisters, Maudie Rome, Minnie Hill and Fannie Mode and five brothers, Taylor Rome, Lee Rome, Claude Rome, Troy Rome, William Eugene Rome and daughter-in-law, Nancy Bradshaw.

Those left to treasure her memory include three sons, Dale Bradshaw and wife, Susan of Ellenboro, Alan Bradshaw of Rutherfordton and David Bradshaw and wife, Raquel of Cheraw, SC; six grandchildren, Aaron Bradshaw (Brittany), Andrew Bradshaw, Elise Harris (Guy), Logan Bradshaw, Lennox Bradshaw and Wesley Bradshaw.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Tri-City Baptist Church with Reverend James Hollandsworth and Reverend Mike Conner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be private in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will be gathered at 715 Pinehurst Road, Ellenboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Tri-City Baptist Church, 910 Piney Ridge Road, Forest City, NC 28043.

The family wishes to thank Mike and Arlene Smith and the Staff of Oakland Living Center for their loving care and compassion given to Mary during her illness.

Mickey Hardin, age 81, of Forest City, NC, passed away Wednesday,
June 26, 2019 at his residence.

Mickey was born May 3, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late
Dewey Hardin and Annie Haulk Hardin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army
and worked for Torrington/Timken Industries for many years before
retirement. He was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of Forest
City where he was a dedicated groundskeeper of the church lawn. Mickey
was an avid golfer and loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four
siblings, Frances Brantley, Howard Hardin, Peggy Hardin and Ronnie
Hardin.

Those left to treasure his memory include his loving wife of
fifty-nine years, Linda Lowery Hardin; son, Ricky Hardin and wife,
Sharon of Forest City; daughter, Angie Lewis of Boiling Springs, SC;
two brothers, Hubert Hardin and wife, Jean and Tim Hardin; three
sisters, Dot DeBrule, Susie Hardin and Helen Davis all of Forest City.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Chloe Hardin, Tyler Lewis
and Troy Lewis.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday,
June 29, 2019 at First Wesleyan Church of Forest City with Reverend
Eric Yelton officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County
Memorial Cemetery with military honors being accorded by the
Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one
hour prior to service time at the church.
