Lake Lure Classical Academy Approved for Accreditation

LAKE LURE — AdvancED Global Commission on June 19, 2019 notified Lake Lure Classical Academy that it had been approved for accreditation. Using a set of rigorous research-based standards and evidence based criteria, AdvancED Performance Accreditation examines the whole institution – the policies, programs, practices, learning conditions and cultural context – to determine how well the parts work together to carry out the institution’s vision and meet the needs of every learner.

Accredited. A status conferred to an institution or system in good standing, and based on the most recent Engagement Review, meets all or a substantial number of Standards and criteria and has documented performance results and an Index of Education Quality® (IEQ®) score at acceptable levels.

The institution or system having a status of Accredited will continue with that status through the assigned expiration date of the five-year accreditation term as long as the institution or system continuously meets the policies, Standards, and Assurances for accreditation.

AdvancED is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that accredits primary and secondary schools throughout the United States and internationally.[1] AdvancED was formed in 2006 by the consolidation of the pre-college divisions of two of the U.S. regional accreditation organizations: the Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA CASI), and the Council on Accreditation and School Improvement of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS CASI). In 2012 the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) joined AdvancED.

Congratulatory wishes to the Lake Lure Classical Academy Community.
