On 1-24-2021, Rutherford County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to do a welfare check on a couple, Robert and Anne Seslar, who live in the Summit Parkway Development, which is a gated community in Bostic.

The caller, a family member from Florida, stated she had not spoken with her brother or sister-in-law in several days, and that was very unusual. The caller also stated her brother, Robert had been suffering mental issues, and advised deputies to use extreme caution.

Deputies arrived at the residence, 881 Summit Parkway, Bostic, noticed cars in the garage and the house secured.

Deputies were able to locate a neighbor with a key to the Seslar residence.
Deputies made entry into the Seslar home, and located the bodies of Robert and Anne Seslar in an upstairs bedroom.

Evidence suggests that Robert Seslar had shot and killed his wife Anne, then took his own life.
