RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Rutherford County Narcotics Detectives performed a vehicle stop near intersection of Ferry Road and Harris Henrietta Road for motor vehicle violations. Rutherford County Interdiction Team K9 Jango performed a free air sniff during the vehicle stop and alerted to presence of an odor of controlled substance.
A search of vehicle produced 346.8 grams methamphetamine and $2,200.81 in U.S. currency.
Rutherford County Narcotics Detectives then arrested Phillip Irby Robbins of Ellenboro, N.C. Robbins was transported to Rutherford County Detention Center and was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, maintaining vehicle, simple possession schedule vi and possession of drug paraphernalia. Robbins received $500,000.00 secured bond.
