RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Students at Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy – Challenge Foundation Academy shared news of a threat made at the school to shoot other students. Some friends of the student were warned not to come to school today. The student was suspended from the school.
Due to the number of parental/guardian calls to the school, TJCA-CFA issued not only a phone alert, but also a posting on their official Facebook page.
TJ Family: Today, Thursday the 10th, a student walked into a classroom during class change and wrote a threatening statement on the board. Students immediately reported this to Officer Hernandez, our school resource officer. Administration and law enforcement worked collaboratively to handle the situation in a swift and decisive manner. Rest assured the situation has been taken seriously and handled appropriately. If you have additional concerns, please contact school administration.
