Word of Faith Fellowship Demands A&E Provide Defamatory Content in The Devil Next Door Series

NEW YORK, NY — The Word of Faith Fellowship (WoFF) has retained NY attorney Eric Lieberman to represent the church in its demands to  A&E Television Networks and Collins Avenue Entertainment. Lieberman made a demand to A&E and Collins Avenue Entertainment to advise WoFF and its attorneys of possible defamatory content in their docu-series The Devil Next Door.

In anticipation of possible litigation, Lieberman notified the two companies to preserve all documents, records and files related to the production in an effort to prevent their premature disposal or spoliation.

WORD OF FAITH FELLOWSHIP

PRESS RELEASE (12-7-18)

Spindale, North Carolina — Today, Eric Lieberman with Rabinowitz, Boudin, Standard, Krinsky & Lieberman, counsel for The Word of Faith Fellowship, issued a legal demand to A&E Television Networks and Collins Avenue Entertainment regarding the defamatory content contained in The Devil Next Door series. The troubled series, which was indefinitely postponed last week, was produced by Collins Avenue and scheduled to premiere on A&E on November 27, 2018.

Lieberman demanded that A&E and Collins Avenue provide Word of Faith and its attorneys information regarding any allegations of misconduct contained in the shelved series so that it may have opportunity to demonstrate the falsity of such claims to the network and production company. Lieberman also notified A&E and Collins Avenue that failure to engage the Word of Faith in refuting the calumny directed its way by disaffected apostates could form the foundation for a judicial finding that these media outlets were acting in reckless disregard of the actual truthfulness or falsity of the allegations.

A&E and Collins Avenue will be proceeding at their own legal peril should they ignore Lieberman’s demands.

Finally, in anticipation of possible litigation, Lieberman notified the two companies to preserve all documents, records and files related to the production in an effort to prevent their premature disposal or spoliation.
