Georgia Lee Epley, age 83, of Old Caroleen Road, Forest City, NC, went home to with her Lord and Savior Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Georgia was born February 21, 1935 in Spartanburg County, SC, and was a daughter of the late Carmie Leander Lane and Mary Miller Lane. She worked for Pepsi Cola for many years and most recently for A & E Plastics before retirement. She was a member of Henrietta First Baptist Church and enjoyed travelling, reading and having conversations. She was always young at heart and loved adventures such as riding all the rollercoasters at Carowinds. She was faithful to her family, her friends and her church. Georgia’s world circled around her family and especially her grandkids and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Margaret Parrot Lane; daughter, Malinda Hoyle; four brothers, William Lane, Charles Lane, Gifford Lane and an infant twin brother, Jessie Lane; two grandsons, Billy Harold Epley and infant, Shawn Wayne Mullinax.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of sixty-seven years, “Paw Paw” Bill Epley; daughter, Susan Callahan Ledford and husband, Mitch of Forest City and son, Howard Epley and wife, Lisa also of Forest City; nine grandchildren, Frankie Mullinax (Kimberly), Jimmy Callahan (Amber), Nadia Osment (Chris), Leigh Andrea Rodak (Brandon), Makesha Sisk, Kara Stafford (Wayne), Curtis Epley (Sarah), Shannon Parker, Sara Hoyle and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Henrietta First Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Stafford, Reverend John Godfrey and Reverend Jamie Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.

Wendy Myers Poston, age 71, of Forest City, NC, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her residence.
Wendy was born October 17, 1947 in Emmett, Idaho and was the daughter of the late Paul Myers and June Anderson Myers. She served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Hawaii during the Vietnam War and retired from the Idaho Public School System as a Special Education Teacher Assistant. Wendy also worked as a manager in the restaurant industry for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Weiser, Idaho and was an avid reader. She was also a master seamstress and photographer. Wendy enjoyed bowling, travelling, was a Star Trek enthusiast and loved discussing politics, history and geography.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Jeanne Tucke Myers; brother, Donald Myers and an infant son, Anthony Sheridan.
      Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Michael J. Sheridan II and wife, Stephanie of Forest City and daughter, Tanya Poston of Kuna, Idaho; two sisters, Kay Beck (Wally) of Edmonds, Washington and Pamela Bolick (Larry) of Weiser, Idaho; brother, Gary Myers also of Weiser and sister-in-law, Lois Myers of Baker, Oregon. She is also survived by six grandchildren, David Sheridan, Elijah Sheridan, Faith Sheridan, Sarah Sheridan, Bethany Sheridan, Anna Sheridan and several special nieces and nephews.
      A private service will be conducted on a later date.
