Randy Lee Henson, age 60, of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Born June 6, 1958 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Luther Phillips Henson and Jessie Rice Henson. He worked for John H. Montgomery Mill in Chesnee for many years and was an avid NASCAR and drag racing fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Vivian Blanton, Mary Ann Burgess, Andrea Tucker and Linda Reid; three brothers, Dale, Doug and Hoyle Henson.
Survivors include one brother, Steve Henson of Danieltown and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Randy’s life will be held on a later date.

Anita “Lynn” Sims, age 57, of Whitesides Road, Forest City, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
     Born October 24, 1960 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Marlowe and Lonie Hutchins Marlowe. Lynn worked as a CNA for many years at White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton and was a faithful member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church. She was active in the church music ministry and enjoyed southern gospel music. She was a dedicated wife, nana, sister, aunt and friend.
     Those left to cherish he memory include her husband of forty years, Reverend Roger Sims; granddaughter, Machaiah Davis of the home; sister, Pam Watt of Forest City; brother, Marvin “Bucky” Marlowe and wife, Lori of Spindale and a host of nieces and nephews.
      A memorial service to honor Lynn’s life will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Billy Poe Jones, Reverend Billy Cogdell and Reverend Richard Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
     Memorial donations are respectfully requested to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City, NC  28043.

Joe Womack of Rutherfordton, NC passed away peacefully on September 7, 2018 after a short period of declining health. He was born in Rutherfordton on January 17, 1931 to parents Carl Womack and Elizabeth Smawley Womack. Joe traveled the country and all over the world while in the US Army and Air Force making his way back to spend most of his life on Broad River in Rutherfordton. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Vivian Womack whom he loved and spoke about till his final days. Joe was also preceded in death by his brothers Larkin Barney Womack, Carl Twitty Womack and sisters Inez Ruppe, Ruth Wilson, Hazel Sims, Mary Griffith, Margaret Vickers, Glenice Womack.
Joe is survived by a great number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews who were fortunate to have a wonderful Uncle Joe who made them all feel like they were “his favorite”.
The family wishes to thank the many folks in the area that were so kind to our Uncle Joe and listened to his tall tales as he made his daily rounds “knocking around”.

SHELBY – Richard Alan Jurgens, 53, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Testa Hospice House, Kings Mountain surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Harold and Lois Zerwas Jurgens.
