Deb’s Mini Mart employee accused of pocketing the money

A former employee of a Chesnee convenience store was arrested Monday after the business’ owner said he stole at least $10,000 or more from the store, according to an arrest report.

Paul Allen Morrow, 49, of 490 Spindale St., Spindale, N.C., faces a charge of breach of trust more than or equal to $10,000.

According to an arrest warrant, between July 1, 2017 and July 26, 2018, an employee at Deb’s Mini Mart on Chesnee Highway voided multiple transactions or rang them up as 1-cent and pocketed the money.

The owner of the store called Spartanburg County deputies on July 26, the report stated.
