Michael E. Henson, age 66, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.
Born November 26, 1951 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Max Henson and Dot Reynolds Henson. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1970 and served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Michael worked in construction as a welder most of his life and loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Lawson and Edna Reynolds and Roland and Minnie Henson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-four years, Deborah Quinn Henson; one son, Shiloh Michael Henson and wife, Jennifer of Rutherfordton. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Madison Henson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Rodney Tyrone Blevins age 74 of Union Mills, died Monday, July 30, 2018. Arrangements to be announced by McMahan’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Grayson Tyler Thompson, infant son of Beverly Wells of Forest City and Brandon Thompson of Shelby, entered into his Heavenly Father’s presence on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include maternal grandparents, Jennifer Whitener and Johnny Taylor of Forest City and Donnie and Renea Wells of Henrietta; maternal great-great-great grandmother, Barbara Maynard of West Virginia; paternal grandparents, Ricky Thompson of Shelby and Donna and Michael Boone of Kings Mountain; paternal great-grandmother, Janice Thompson of Shelby. He is also survived by one brother, Isaac Thompson and a sister, Olivia Thompson both of the home.
A service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Victory Baptist Church of Spindale with Reverend John Greene officiating. Burial will be private for the family.
Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services is providing services for the family.
Evelyn C. Davidson, age 70, of Inman, SC, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Diamond Langley and the late Minnie Langley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Davidson and a brother Clyde Langley

Ina Mae Price Lutz passed away on July 31st 2018. Ina was the wife of Wayne Lutz, and the daughter of the late Forrest B. Price and Mattie Mae Carpenter Price.
In addition to her parents Ina was preceded in death by a sister Mary Sue Thompson. Ina retired after teaching at Spindale Elementary School for 33 years and was a member of Spindale United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday August the 3rd 2018 from 5:00-7:00PM at Crowe’s Mortuary. Services will be private.
