Mrs. Stacy Stetler Blowers, 40, of Forest City, died Friday, July 20, 2018.
Stacy was the daughter of Darold and Patricia Stetler of Forest City. She was a Pharmacy Technician at CVS in Rutherfordton, and was a 1996 graduate of Ramsey High in Ramsey, New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael Blowers; her 2 sons, Derek Blowers and Brian Blowers; and her brother, Steven Stetler of Mooresboro.

No formal services will be held, the family request any memorials to Stacy’s memory please be directed to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

Donna Reynolds, age 42, of Mooresboro, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at her residence.

Born March 24, 1975 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of Stephen Reynolds and Zelda Carder Green.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Bryanna Melaugh and Annabella Blanton; mother and stepfather, Zelda and Randy Green; father, Stephen Reynolds; one half-sister, Becky Lee Reynolds; and boyfriend, Don Lookadoo.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Harrelson Funeral Home.


Ruby Ann Griffin Browning, age 64, of Ellenboro, died Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.

Born June 29, 1954 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lonas Griffin and Annie Mae Brown Griffin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Regina Henderson; two grandchildren, Brandy Lee Henderson, Michael Alexander Surratt; and two great-grandchildren, Linda Marie Surratt and Michael Nathaniel Surratt. She is also survived by two sisters, Katie Lowdermilk and Judy Prescott; and one brother, Willie Oral Griffin.

Funeral services are private.

Evangeline Roberson Holland, age 85, of Raleigh Ledbetter Road, Ellenboro, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Born December 22, 1932 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Roberson and Eloise Harrill Roberson. A graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1951, she also attended Blanton’s Business School in Asheville. Evangeline worked for Burlington Industries and Galey & Lord as a computer data processor for twenty-five years and was the church secretary for Caroleen Baptist Church for thirteen years. She was a longtime member of Caroleen Baptist Church where she served in the children’s ministries. She enjoyed woodworking, painting and cooking. Evangeline loved her Lord, her family and her church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Gordon Holland.

Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Teresa Holland Crow and husband, Dixon of Ellenboro; granddaughter, Heather Crow Ensley and husband, Miles of Cliffside; two great-grandchildren, South Ensley and Carolina Ensley.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Caroleen Baptist Church with Reverend Allen Hall and Reverend Lanny J. Funchess officiating. Entombment will follow the service in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Shelby – Tania Louise Black of Shelby passed away on July 18, 2018 at her residence. She is a daughter of Mr. Paul Morris of California and the late Valerie Cosmo.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday July 23, 2018 at Landmark Baptist Church, 1724 East Dixon Boulevard, Shelby.  Rev. Allen Davis will be officiating; a time of fellowship will follow the service.
