On Saturday, April 21, Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina will host a mountain biking trip on the Fonta Flora State Trail loop around Lake James, led by the conservancy’s executive director and avid mountain biker, Andrew Kota.
The 8-mile bike ride is a challenging course and previous mountain biking experience is suggested. Bikers will follow the Fonta Flora State Trail loop that circles Lake James, with spectacular views of the lake, mountains, and forested areas. Attendees must bring their own mountain bikes (no road bikes). The ride is expected to last about two hours. Participants are encouraged to pack snacks, if needed, and plenty of water.
The bike event is free and open to the public, but donations to Foothills Conservancy are welcome. RSVP is required. Please RSVP by Wednesday, April 18 by emailing email@example.com or calling 828-437-9930.
