Donna Reynolds, age 42, of Mooresboro, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at her residence.
Born March 24, 1975 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of Stephen Reynolds and Zelda Carder Green.

Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Bryanna Melaugh and Annabella Blanton; mother and stepfather, Zelda and Randy Green; father, Stephen Reynolds; one half-sister, Becky Lee Reynolds; and boyfriend, Don Lookadoo.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Harrelson Funeral Home.


 Brenda Wood Fox, age 75, of Forest City, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
     Born April 26, 1942 in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Frank O. Wood and Mary Chapman Wood. Brenda worked for Cone Mills for many years and also worked in the bakery at Ingles. She loved family get togethers, going to the mountains and listening to country music. Brenda was of the Baptist Faith.
      In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband of forty-four years, Tony Ryan Fox, Sr.; two sisters, Clara Jo Cole and Wanda Murray and a brother, Jerry Wood.
     Those left to cherish her memory include one daughter, Regina Fox Owens of Ellenboro; two sons, Tony Ryan Fox, Jr. and wife, Sharon of Rutherfordton and Frankie Fox and wife, Regina of Forest City; seven grandchildren, Michael Moore, Brandon Fox (Brandy), Jamie Fox, Jordan Moore, Chris Fox, Jared Fox and Elizabeth Fox; four great-great-grandchildren, Alexis Moore, Adrian Fox, Anthony Fox and Ally Fox.
     The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole and Reverend Lamar Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Robert “Bob” Fowler, 67,  of Ellenboro, died Monday, February 5, 2018.

He was the son of the late Will and Hettie Lowery Fowler, and was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Betty Jean Fowler. Bob was a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church, and was a heavy equipment driver.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Ann” Fowler; his 4 daughters, Kay Hargett of Asheville, Lisa Coffey and husband Richard, of Shelby, Pam Gragg of Ellenboro, and Dawn Franklin of Lincolnton; his 2 sons, Paul Gragg, Jr. and wife Crystal, and Rodney Gragg and wife Amy, all of Lincolnton; his brother, Junior Fowler and wife Judy, of Ellenboro; his 3 sisters, Pearl Cauthen of Marion, Mary Biggerstaff and husband C.G., of Golden Valley, and Brenda Evans and husband Andy; there are 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Friday, February 9, 2018 at Fork Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy Cogdell will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The Visitation will be from 2 pm until 3 pm Friday at the church prior to the service.

Linda Gail Revels Dorsey, age 77, of Forest City, NC, passed peacefully Monday, January 29, 2018.
     Born June 20, 1940 in Mayo, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Leroy Revels and Juanita Vera Gilbert Revels.
      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R. Douglas Dorsey and two brothers, Thomas Howard Revels and John David Revels.
      Linda had a long fulfilling career in the medical field , ranging from ward clerk, assisting in labor and delivery, to working in local nursing homes. In her high school years, she was proud to be co-captain of the girls basketball team and drummer in the band at Chesnee High. After her retirement, she became an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
     Those left to cherish her memory include three daughters, Teresa Lynn Gore of Hampton, Virginia, Catherine Lea Shaneberger and husband, Matt of Forest City and Wendy McLaughlin Price of Ellenboro; two sons, Timothy Charles McLaughlin and wife, Katy of Forest City and James Randall McLaughlin of Cheboygan, Michigan. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
     A private memorial service has been held. Those who so desire, may make  donations in memory of Linda to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org

Mr. Gordon Louis Miner, age 64, passed away Saturday, February 03, 2018 while being cared for at The Charles George Veterans Administration Medical Center in Asheville, NC.

Gordon is a son of the late Betty Lou Miner Bunce and was also preceded in death by his step father Harold Bunce. A native of Hannibal, Missouri he retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of service having served during Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm.

He is survived by his wife Catherine “Cathy” Castle Miner of the home, one daughter Mary Dunn of Spindale, NC; two stepsons – J.C. Callison of Wilmington, NC and Thomas Callison of El Paso, TX; two sisters – Lori Fries and Nancy Martin both of Kansas City, KS; five grandchildren – Cashmere Weeks, Brian Russell, Elizabeth Dunn, Jeffrey Dunn II, and Aurora Dunn; one great grandchild – Raelynn Weeks, and a number of other family members and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel 118 US Hwy 74A, Rutherfordton, NC 28139 with Rev. Paul Lane and Rev. Michael Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be provided by The Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice Wing of The Charles George Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Shirley Ann Wright, age 65, of Forest City, died Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
     Born February 3, 1953 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Wright and Annie Jenkins Wright. She enjoyed watching old sitcoms, working word puzzles and NASCAR. Shirley attended Rutherford Life Care for many years and took developmental classes at Isothermal Community College.
      Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Sophia Bartlett of Forest City and one brother, Douglas Wright of Rutherfordton; two nephews, Joshua Bartlett and Jon Wright; two nieces, Virginia Bartlett and Heather Horne. She is also survived by numerous extended family members in Texas and North Carolina.
      A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends one hour prior the service time at the funeral home.
