Mr. Larry Eugene Sears, 73, of Ellenboro, died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Hospice of The Carolina Foothills.

Glenn S. Hutchins, age 84, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Mission Hospitals in Asheville, NC.
He was the son of the late Lidge Hutchins and the late Lela Hutchins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Steven Hutchins; brothers and sisters Frances Matheny, Ray Hutchins, Mary Sue Conner, Alma Webb, Joseph Hutchins and Arthur Hutchins.
Glenn was a member of Wilson Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Pauline “Polly” Hutchins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McMahan’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 9, 2018 at McMahan’s Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Edwards and Reverend Billy Bostic officiating. Interment will be at Eternal Hills Memorial Park.
Delilah Smith Hernandez age 66 of Forest City NC passed away on February 2nd 2018 at Hospice. Delilah was the daughter of the late Alfred “Bill” Smith and JoAnn Morgan Smith. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Feliz Hernandez. Step-daughter Paula Hernandez Thomas (Eric); Niece Caitlin Smith; Sister-in law Connie Moore Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Roland Smith and John Anthony “Tony” Smith. The family will receive friends on Monday February 5th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Crowe’s Mortuary and Chapel. Burial will be held at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery following the visitation. 1541 Harris Holly Springs Rd, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. The Rev. Jerry Ruppe will officiate.
David Calton Richards (Posey), age 64, of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Born March 24, 1953, he was the son of the late Helen Huntley Richards. David worked at Trutex and Ammons Jewelry until his retirement in 2015. David enjoyed life, music, fishing and camping with friends at South Toe.
David was preceded in death by a sister, Lorena Richards Fowler and a brother, Michael Richards. He is survived by a nephew, Jeff Fowler and wife Denise; niece Joy Fowler Smith and husband Derek; great nieces and nephews, Zack Fowler, Sierra Fowler, Savannah Smith and Noah Smith; and special friend Terry Ferguson.
David left behind countless numbers of friends that loved him and will miss him deeply. He lived his life his way and faced death the same. He was a simple man.
Family and friends will have a gathering at a later date and will take his ashes to be near his mother and at his favorite place, South Toe.
