RUTHERFORD COUNTY, N.C. — Detectives with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the North Carolina DMV License and Theft Bureau in an joint investigation executed a search warrant at Cliffside Towing located at 2549 Ferry Road in Mooresboro, NC.
Located during the search of Cliffside Towing were one stolen motor vehicle, one stolen motorcycle, seven open titles to motor vehicles, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
As the investigation continued on January 23, 2018 the North Carolina DMV License and Theft Bureau, detectives with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation and Narcotic Division executed a search at 147 Westmore Drive in Ellenboro, NC.
As a result of that search detectives located two stolen motorcycles, two stolen motorcycle engines, and two stolen motor vehicles.
As a result of the investigation three individuals have been charged.
Robin Brian Frady from 2549 Ferry Road Mooresboro, NC has been charged with two counts Larceny of Motor Vehicle, seven counts of Deliver or Accept a Blank or Open Certificate of Title, Possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Phillip Irby Robbins from 147 Westmore Drive, Ellenboro, NC has been charged with three Felony counts Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle, two counts of Felony Chop Shop Activity, two counts of Felony Possession of Stolen Goods, and two Felony counts Alter/Dest/ETC Stolen Motor Vehicle/Part.
Ronnie Dale Pearson from 1943 Hines Road, Mooresboro, NC has been charged with two counts of Larceny of Motor Vehicle.
The investigation is still ongoing.
