Edith Teseniar Owens, age 93, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Hospice House in Forest City.

Born May 8, 1924 in Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Landrum Teseniar and Sally Elizabeth Liverette Teseniar. She worked for Cone Mills, Cliffside and Avondale Plants for over twenty-five years before retiring and was of the Baptist faith. Edith enjoyed quilting and gardening. She had an unselfish and compassionate heart toward those in need and especially cared for children of all ages. Edith loved her family dearly and took pleasure in serving them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-nine years, David Owens; two brothers, Boyd and Lemuel Teseniar; four sisters, Mary Jane Owenby, Sarah Mae Teseniar, Violet Teseniar, Creola Price and three half-brothers, Quince, Bill and Alonzo Teseniar.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter and caretaker, Creola O. Coffey and husband, Allen of Forest City; one son, Charles Edgar Owens and wife, Teresa of Duncan, SC; granddaughter, Charlene Paitrick and husband, Tom of Blaine, Minnesota; two great-grandsons, Brady and Finn Paitrick.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Lanny J. Funchess and Reverend Billy Poe Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.

Madison Grace and Macey Dawn Woodward, twin daughters of Kasey Woodard of Spindale, went home to be with their heavenly father on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
      In addition to their mother, they are survived by grandparents, Donna Woodard of Forest City and Brian and Sabrina Woodard of McDowell County; two sisters, McKenzie Mock and Sadie Woodard and a brother, Levi Woodard all of the home; three aunts, Kendall Frye of Hickory, NC, Kellie Woodard of Spindale and Katie Woodard of Forest City.
      Their memory will be forever cherished by all those who loved them.

Mr. Bobby “Bob” Randall, 76, of Ellenboro, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

He was the son of Roland and Bessie Randall, and was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, James W. “Jim” Randall, and Earl Dean Randall, his twin sister Betty Jean Randall, and sister Vie Campbell. Bob loved his family dearly, and the chickens and sheep in his care.

He is survived by his sons, Mark Randall and wife Lisa, of Bostic, S. Dean Randall and his wife Andrea, of Pineville, and Greg Randall and wife Gina, of Bostic; his brother, John Randall of Boiling Springs, NC; his sisters, Louise Edwards of Bostic, Barbara Atchley and husband Ron, of Forest City, and Frances Vassey of Rutherfordton; there are 8 grandchildren, Jessica Goforth and husband Clint, Allison Randall, Dale Randall, Clay Randall, Brock Randall, Carson Randall, Eden Randall, and Emery Randall; and 2 great grandchildren, Emma Byrd and Barrett Goforth.

The Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Walls Baptist Church. The Rev. Brian Melton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The Visitation will be from 1 pm until 3 pm Saturday at the church prior to the service, at other times the family will gather at the residence of Mark Randall at 485 Harvey Logan Road, Bostic.
