POLK CO., N.C. – Two people were rescued after falling off Little Bradley Falls in Saluda. The two people were hiking when one of them slipped. The other hiker tried grabbing him to prevent the fall, but instead they both fell.
Two males, one in his 40s and another younger male were conscious and stable after a fall from Little Bradley Falls. Emergency workers tells the man in his 40s fell down the falls and into the water below. He has a broken leg and is also being treated for hypothermia. He was flown to Mission Hospital for treatment.
Both fell about 15-20 feet, halfway down the falls.
The incident occurred around 3:30 or 4 p.m. Dispatch received a call about a fall at 4 p.m.
Saluda Fire Department and the Henderson County Rescue Squad responded to the scene. According to Polk County Emergency Management neither hiker has life-threatening injuries.
