The National Hurricane Center issued a Tropical Storm Watch for portions of the coasts of North Carolina and South Carolina. The affected areas span from South Santee River, S.C., to Duck, N.C., the hurricane center said.
A Tropical Storm Watch means tropical storm conditions are possible within the area, and the hurricane center said such conditions are possible within the next 24-48 hours.
A 48-hour outlook by the hurricane center states the system would move slowly toward the South Carolina coast Sunday night and today . It’s predicted to move near the northeastern coast of South Carolina and along the North Carolina coast tonight and Tuesday.
