Mrs. Aileen Hill Grissett, 92, of Morehead City, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Morehead City.

Aileen was born on March 31, 1925 in Rutherford County, and was a daughter of the late William Washington Hill and Lois Lee Jones Hill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Grissett, a brother, Charles Hill, and her infant sister, Dellois Hill. She and her husband moved to Morehead City in 1991, where she was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Shirley Oppenheim and husband Ken, of Raleigh, and Susan Poole and husband Don, of Pell City, AL; her sister, Dellaphine Bartlett and husband Richard, of Cherryville; her brother, Coy Hill and wife Jean, of Golden Valley; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Paschaloudis and husband Stratos, of Raleigh, Nancy Franks and husband Gerald, of Raleigh, and Jason Appling and wife Shannon, of Birmingham, AL; there are 5 great grandchildren, Natalie, Nate, Lexi, Victoria and Kaleb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, August 5, 2017 at First Broad Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Bradley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Broad Baptist Church, 2470 NC Hwy 226, Bostic, NC 28018.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Crystal Bluffs for their compassionate care for Aileen over the past few years.

Linda Byrd Earley age 73, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Ray Edgar Byrd and the late Ruby Ethel Harris Byrd. She was a member of Southern Baptist Church, a graduate of R-S Central High School class of 1961 and a graduate of Cecil’s Business College. She retired from Mastercraft as the General Accounting Manager. She loved to quilt, sew, paint, garden and spending time with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her twin sons Kenneth Ray Earley and Kevin Reid Earley, one brother James Preston Byrd and two brothers in law; Glen Atchley and Larry Crowe.She is survived by her husband: Donald R. Earley

One Daughter: Donna E. White and husband Marcus

One Son:  Jeff R. Earley and wife Patricia Lyn

One Sister: Kay Frances Crowe

Four Grandchildren:Jenna Rae Price, Carmen Louise White and husband Andrew, Raelyn Alexis Earley and Grayson Reid Earley

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Southern Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at Southern Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 with Reverend Bob Philbeck, Reverend John Perry and Dr. James Preston Byrd officiating. Interment will be at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery. Jack Randolph Keller, age 86, of Lake Lure, NC, died Sunday, July 29, 2017, at Hospice House of Rutherford County.

Jack was born in Uree, NC on August 6, 1930 and was the son of the late David Clarence Keller and the late Fannie Sue Dalton Keller. He enlisted in the Navy and served as a sonar operator on the USS Sicily in Korea. He was a retired supervisor from Cleveland Lumber Company and was a member of the VFW and The American Legion in Lake Lure. He was a philanthropic contributor to many charity organizations and was a great lover of animals.

Jack was preceded in death by three brothers; Henry Keller, D C Keller Jr., William Keller and two sisters; Bertha Keller Dubose, and Elizabeth Keller Keeter.

He is survived by two Sisters: Betty Ann Freeman of Marion, NC; Mildred Fraser of Burlington, NC , sister in law Malee Keller of Lake Lure, NC, nine nephews and four nieces.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Chimney Rock Baptist Church with the Reverend Wes Shields officiating. Military Honors will be given by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will greet friends following the graveside service at the Fellowship Hall.
