Last week was the premiere of the Digital History of Education in Rutherford County, a project of the Educational Heritage Sub-Committee. Their work can be seen directly at this site. “Celebrating Our Healthcare Heritage” is Sunday afternoon, August 26, 2:00 – 4:00 PM, Norris Biggs Conference Room at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. The free event that has been planned and coordinated by the Rutherfordton 225th Anniversary Sub-committee on Health Care Heritage. It includes an Open House with a walking tour of the Medical Center’s museum and St. Luke’s Chapel.
You’ll see the first showing of “Healthcare History”, a DVD featuring stories about the county’s first school of nursing, and the origins of the Auxiliary, public health and EMS services in Rutherford County. It’s a video of many faces that you know and love telling the story of health care through the years!
