Time to report some good news in the county. The future home of Sandy Mush Volunteer Fire Department is nearing completion. Congratulations on a fine new facility.

Judge Laura Powell was honored this morning in the courthouse for her 10 years of service to the State. Thank you for your work here in the justice system.

The good news is that there will be not one, but two, breweries coming to Rutherfordton. We’re looking forward to new businesses downtown.

Also, the Town has been busy changing streetlights to the new LED lights. Not only are they more efficient, but they bring more light into the area. Thank you Rutherfordton.
