NASHVILLE, TENN.- The stage of the Grand Ole Opry hosted Rutherford County’s own Robbie Helton Tuesday night as he performed live with EmiSunshine and The Rain.

Helton’s family met him at Nashville to see him perform. He has been on a nationwide tour with the band for the past several months where they recently opened for Willie Nelson.

Robbie formerly lived in Cliffside and went to Chase High School. He currently lives in Nashville, Tenn.

He has worked in the past at Westgate Resorts, Dixie Stampede and as a featured musician in the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show at Dollywood.

Congratulations Robbie, on making Rutherford County proud!
